MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY INTERFRATERNITY COUNCIL

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Dear MSU Student and Parent,
Michigan State University’s Interfraternity Council (IFC) chapters pride themselves on the pillars of exceptional brotherhood, leadership, community involvement, and academic success. Beyond the classroom, these leaders set a precedent for the greater MSU student body representing what it truly means to be a Spartan. As a result of being a part of Greek Life, members are held to a substantially higher standard than most students.
Each IFC Member Chapter at MSU agrees and continues to meet and exceed the standards of Michigan State University and is always committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for members and guests at all times. It is the responsibility of IFC Chapters to uphold these standards of conduct and follow all policies by IFC, university, and organizational policies
Sincerely,
Sawyer Mclure
WHO ARE WE
Since 1872, Michigan State’s Greek community has been a viable and respected part of campus life. With more than 60 Greek letter organizations, “going Greek” can be one of the most significant experiences for a college student during their time at MSU.
Each year, our community members achieve better academically, are elected to the highest leadership roles in student government, dedicate thousands of hours to community service, donate hundreds of thousands of dollars to charitable organizations, serve as executive officers for many of Michigan State’s student organizations, and build campus spirit, pride, and tradition through our major campus events such as Safe Halloween, Homecoming, Greek Week, and Mental Health Awareness Week. Most importantly, fraternity and sorority life provides the opportunity to establish bonds with the most dedicated, talented, and diverse people on campus and be a part of a global network of alumni that will last a lifetime.
The Interfraternity Council (IFC), Panhellenic Council (PC), Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), and the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), are the governing bodies of Greek letter organizations on our campus.
